Two New Metro Stations Open in Riyadh

Riyadh Public Transport has opened two new metro stations. This will help people get around the city more easily.

New Stations  

  • The new stations are the Railway Station and Jarir District Station.  
  • These stations are part of the Orange Line.

About the Orange Line  

  • The Orange Line is the third line of the Riyadh Metro.

  • Since its launch on December 1, 2024, the Riyadh Metro has had 18 million users in just 75 days.  
  • People have taken over 162,000 trips and traveled 4.5 million kilometers.

  • December 1, 2024 – The Blue, Yellow, and Purple Lines started.
  • December 15, 2024 – The Red and Green Lines opened.
  • January 5, 2025 – The Orange Line was launched, and all six lines are now open.

  • It is also the longest driverless train system in the world.  
  • It covers 176 kilometers and has 85 stations, including four major hubs.
