How the series began
Actor Faisal Al-Essa developed the idea after hosting the 2011 Saudi TV program “Youth Chat,” which exposed him to the concerns of young Saudis. He produced a pilot episode, secured approval from Saudi TV and began full production the following year.
The first part aired on Al-Saudiya Channel, with the second and third parts moving to the Saudi Sports Channel. The show returned to Al-Saudiya for its fourth part before shifting to Rotana Khalijiah from the fifth season onward, where it has continued through its thirteenth season in 2025. A feature film adaptation followed in 2024.
