What is AlUla Club
AlUla Club is a professional sports organization in Saudi Arabia. The club is located in AlUla Governorate. Which is in Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah Province. The club is nicknamed the Arab Tigers. A strong name that represents their power and pride!
One of biggest moments in AlUla Club’s history was when the club got promoted to the Saudi First Division League (Yelo League) in March 2025. It was an exciting moment for the club and its supporters.
The History of AlUla Club
How It Started (1978)
In 1978, a football match was held in AlUla Governorate and something important happened. Prince Abdulmohsen Bin Abdulaziz, the governor of Al-Madinah at that time, attended the match. His presence was very significant.
After the game, leaders of both teams met and decided to form a sport club for AlUla Governorate. Everyone worked together with great enthusiasm.
Official Registration (1981)
In 1981 after three years of effort, AlUla Club was officially registered with the General Presidency of Youth Welfare (now known as the Ministry of Sport).
The Name Story
The club was originally named “Wadi Al-Qura,” taken from a well-known valley in AlUla. The name was chosen when the two clubs Mada’in and AlUla merged and needed a new name that represented both communities.
Later, the name was changed to AlUla Sport Club which is still used today.

First Achievement: March 8, 2024
AlUla Club’s football team achieved promotion to the Second Division for the first time by leading their group in the Third Division League.
Second Achievement: March 15, 2025
Only one year later, AlUla Club made history again. On March 15, 2025, they were promoted to the Saudi First Division League (Yelo League) as runners-up in the Second Division.
