RIYADH – Saudi Arabia has made big progress in making government services digital. The country’s Digital Government Authority says it scored 86.71% in its 2025 Digital Experience test.

What This Means

This high score puts Saudi Arabia at an “advanced” level in digital government services. The government tested 50 different online platforms to see how well they work for people.

How They Tested

The test looked at four main things:

  • How happy users are
  • How easy websites are to use
  • How well they handle complaints
  • How they use new technology

Top Performing Apps and Websites

Some government platforms got very high scores:

  • Absher app: 93.95%
  • Tax Authority website: 93.25%
  • Tawakkalna app: 91.89%
  • Etimad platform: 91.43%
  • Qiwa jobs platform: 91.06%

Other good platforms include Ehsan, Tourism Ministry website, GOSI, Sehhaty health app, and Sanea’i.

Growing Public Trust in Digital Services

This year, over 374,000 people took part in rating these services. This is more than last year, showing that more Saudis trust and use government digital services.

Helping Everyone Access Services

The government added a new test this year for “digital inclusivity.” This checks if older people and people with disabilities can easily use these services. Saudi Arabia scored 75.3% in this area.

Global Rankings

Saudi Arabia is doing well compared to other countries:

  • 1st place in the Middle East region
  • 4th place worldwide in UN Digital Services ranking
  • 2nd place among G20 countries

What Officials Say

Ahmed Al-Suwayan, who leads the Digital Government Authority, says this shows the government is working hard to make services better and easier for everyone to use.

Why This Matters

These digital services help people:

  • Save time by doing things online
  • Get government services faster
  • Access services from anywhere
  • Have better experience with government

This progress supports Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 plan to become more digital and modern.

Saudi Arabia continues to improve its digital government services each year, making life easier for millions of citizens and residents.
