Abha Chamber of Commerce: Support for Aseer Business Sector
The Abha Chamber of Commerce is a nonprofit organization that helps businesses grow in Aseer Province. It represents traders, industrialists and entrepreneurs. The chamber works with government ministries to protect and advance business interests.
The chamber headquarters is in Abha City and is part of Federation of Saudi Chambers. It is one of two chambers in Aseer Province.
History of Abha Chamber
Abha Chamber was established in 1981. A group of businesspeople saw the need for an organization to unite and protect business owners in the region. The chamber was officially launched that same year.
In 1989, the chamber moved to a new headquarters. The building sits on 16,000 square meters along the main road between Abha and Khamis Mushait. Two connected towers with seven and six floors house over six thousand square meters of office space.
How is Abha Chamber Organized
The chamber has a board of directors with fifteen members. It operates thirty-two specialized committees: Twenty-three main committees and nine subcommittees.
Each committee serves a different business sector like commerce, tourism, health, industry, real estate, agriculture and transportation. Business owners from different trades work together in these committees.
