Muscat: The Royal Saudi Naval Forces and the Royal Navy of Oman carried out missile and live ammunition exercises. The drills were part of the bilateral naval exercise called Winds of Peace 2026 in Oman.
The exercises included advanced scenarios to simulate modern naval operations. They focused on protecting maritime lines of communication and boosting regional maritime security. Officials said the drills aim to strengthen stability and prosperity in the Gulf.
A total of 10 combat vessels participated. Rotary-wing aircraft and two platoons from special maritime security units also took part in the exercises.
