Nearly 2 Million People Prayed at Prophet’s Mosque During Hajj

The Saudi government announced that almost 2 million people prayed at the special Rawdah area in the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah during this year’s Hajj season.

The exact number was 1,958,076 worshippers, including both men and women. This count covers the period from early November to early December 2024.

Even more pilgrims – over 3.4 million people – visited the place of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)  and his close friends Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq and Umar ibn Al-Khattab during the same time.

The government office that takes care of the holy mosques said these large numbers show how well they are managing the sites. They work hard to make sure visitors have a safe and peaceful experience.

Saudi Arabia’s King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman continue to focus on improving services for people who come to visit these holy places.

The Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah is one of Islam’s most important sites, and millions of Muslims visit it each year, especially during Hajj season.
