Early Life of Abdulrahman al-Sudais

Abdulrahman al-Sudais was born in 1962 in Riyadh. He grew up there and studied hard. At just twelve years old, he memorized the entire Quran. In 1983, he finished his studies at the College of Sharia. After that, he became a teaching assistant. Later, he got a Master’s degree and then a doctorate in law from Umm al-Qura University. He even became a professor there in 2012!

His Role at the Grand Mosque

In 1984, Abdulrahman al-Sudais became an Imam at the Grand Mosque. In 2012, he was given a big promotion to be the General President of Religious Affairs for both the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque. This is a very important job! On August 8, 2023, he was named president of a new agency for these mosques.

Other Important Positions

Sheikh Abdulrahman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais is also in charge of a charity project in Makkah. He helps with studies related to Islamic law at Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University. In 2006, he received an award for being an outstanding Islamic leader.
